Park CitySecond only to Moab, Park City is one of the busiest resort towns in Utah. Though it’s particularly popular during the winter months for skiing at any of the 3 ski resorts, there is a ton of other activities waiting for you during the summer vacation months.
Overall, it is a much trendier city than the outdoorsy Moab, but it does still offer a lot of great outdoor activities around town. There are hiking trails though the surrounding mountain forests, where you can visit local hot springs. Many of the trails are open to mountain biking too. Or take a birds-eye view of the countryside from a high-wire gondola or even a hot-air balloon. There are several state parks close to Park City, including Deer Creek State Park, Rockport State Park and the Echo Reservoir. All these parks are filled with adventure waiting to happen, with even more hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, horse-back riding, camping, and wildlife watching. You can really take your pick and find the perfect spot for your outdoor vacation.
If you are in Park City during ski season, you should try the Olympic-grade skiing and snowboarding facilities. Take a few lessons, and try some freestyle jumping (into the pool!). While you are staying in Park City, you can get around town really easily with free public buses. Once you're done exploring the wilderness, you can explore the town to find art galleries, restaurants and museums. Quick
